Safety
SPLIT UP YOUR CASH
Don’t carry or keep all you cash in one place. In the hotel room, split your cash into four parts and hide it in different suitcases or places, so that if you do have a thief in the room, he’ll likely not find it all.
DON’T CARRY DOCUMENTS AROUND
Leave your travel documents in a safe place while you’re out on daytrips….there is a collapsible, travel safe from Pac Safe that provides secure storage for passport, keys, camera, cellphone, etc.
KEEP AN EYE ON LUGGAGE
Whether waiting in line or sitting in the airport lounge, always have contact with your carry on luggage. Wrapping the strap around an arm or leg works well. In a bathroom stall, keep the bag on your lap, never hang it on that back-of-door hook, or set it on the floor, where it could be snatched.
HOTEL ROOM SECURITY
Don’t open your hotel room door, until you know who’s there…..if you have any doubts, call the hotel front desk or security. The Travel Door Alarm attaches easily to the doorknob, and alerts you with an alarm if the door is opened from outside. Keep valuables locked up in the hotel safe, or take the protection of a home safe with you on the road with TravelSafe 100. It’s lightweight and portable---simply put your passport, digital camera, or jewelry inside, lock it closed and then lock it to a secure fixture in your hotel.
